Today, CAR-T therapy in Israel is used only in the Chaim Sheba Medical Center. The treatment process is following:

Step 1: own immune cells are extracted from the patient's body

Step 2: extracted cells are modified in the laboratory by introducing a certain gene (CAR), which helps detect and destroy cancer cells

Step 3: The modified cells are reintroduced into the patient’s body where they multiply even more fortifying the immune system with the new stronger and more aggressive T-cells
